2025 Gaming & Blog Goals

Another year has come and gone. I feel like 2024 went by pretty quickly. Let’s get into what I’m aiming for in 2025.

What am I playing this Year

Right now I’m still playing Yakuza Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth. I’m still working on slowly clearing up my backlog from last year. I also started Unicorn Overlord, so I’m bouncing a bit between the two. There were some really good deals over the holidays so I picked up a couple of games for cheap. One game I finally ended up purchasing was the Witcher 3. I’ve heard nothing but good things about the series so I’m excited to play when I get to it. I also ended up buying the Bioshock trilogy, I haven’t played any of them before.

Goals for this year

One of my biggest goals is to play more indie games. I’d like to get Balatro this year and try that out. I hadn’t heard of it until I watched the game awards and I enjoy card games. A game I bought to try is Haven.

What games am I looking forward to this year?

There are a lot of good RPGs releasing this year. Here’s a list of what I’m looking forward to this year.

• Monster Hunter Wilds
• Pokémon Legends: Z-A
• Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater
• The Legend of Heroes: Trails Through Daybreak II
• Borderlands 4

There are probably a few more that I’m missing from the list since there’s been so many announcements. I’d like to start with Monster Hunter, but with my backlog I don’t think I’ll be getting it on release. I can see myself probably getting to two or three of these on the list.

Blog Goals for 2025

I’ll most likely be doing a lot more first impressions posts this year since I have so much in my backlog. One of my biggest goals is switching out the theme my blog uses and updated the pages. I’ve done small updates here and there, but I need to actually do a full update this time. I’ll be planning this update and post a warning before the change happens. Content wise I plan on creating longer posts with some more research included as well as my personal opinions intertwined.

I’m going to try to get back into making videos this year. I’m not sure about a schedule at the moment, but I’ll be playing older games as a way to make videos as well as to help in clearing out my backlog. I will reluctantly be returning to uploading videos on YouTube. Videos take up a good chunk of space and I don’t really have the storage with my hosting to hold them. Like I used to do, I’ll upload on YouTube and add a link on the site. For now it won’t be until February or later when I get the first video recorded. I’m moving at the end of the month so I’ll need time to get rearranged.
