How is the PlayStation 5? Was it worth the money? All that will be answered below. Game play of Astro’s Playroom is included below. Let’s talk console look and controller.
To start with this console is big. I don’t mean for that to sound negative but it is bigger in person than what you think from videos. I enjoy this controller a lot. Just from what I felt from Astro’s Playroom, it feels immersive. The controller is slightly bigger but it feels good in my hand. I like the haptic feed back and the triggers. Now let’s talk about the UI.
I’m not a fan of the UI currently. Just through my first use I struggled to close games as well as finding different settings and things like the download menu. I also don’t like that you can’t choose a theme like the ps4. I’ll probably get used to it in the future, but I just don’t like these aspects.
Games load fast on here. When playing older games you easily notice the speed improvements. Transferring games isn’t too difficult. As long as you have an external hard drive that uses USB 3.0 then you’ll be good to transfer games. I know it isn’t much but I haven’t gotten the chance to play an extensive amount of time. I definitely feel as though it was worth upgrading especially since you get some enhancements on games you already have. I will say that I haven’t noticed a decrease in load times on some ps4 games, but maybe I haven’t played it enough to see.
Astro’s Playroom is a fun game included with the ps5. You don’t need to install because it is pre-installed. You can learn the new capabilities of the controller, like haptic feedback, while playing a fun game. What I enjoy most are the collectables. They are pieces of PlayStation’s past, like the memory card for the ps1. You can view all the collectables in a room. I haven’t finished it all yet, but I estimate that it is at least a 4 to 5 hour game.
Below is me playing some Astro’s Playroom. Thanks for reading. I might post some clips of Spider Man: Miles Morales when I play it.
