Hello again everyone! Yesterday was another day of E3. Xbox and Square Enix revealed some new games I wanted to talk about what caught my attention. I’ll also be discussing what I’m worried about and what disappointed me. Keep in mind I am not going over every release. I’ll start with Xbox.

Xbox’s E3 show

I think that Xbox had a pretty good show. I liked that it was mostly back to back games with very little interruptions. Xbox Game Pass continues to look great for anybody that owns an Xbox or PC. One game that caught my attention was Replaced. The trailer is below.

The unique look of the game caught my attention. It looks great and the way the camera moves during combat just adds something extra. This is definitely a game I’ll be looking out for in 2022.

Xbox Surprised Me

Xbox surprised me with the announcement of Hades, and they’re releasing a physical copy. Now Hades is a game I have not had he chance to play yet, but I have only heard good things. I’m glad that it will be on another platform so that more people are able to experience it. I also learned that Hades is coming to PlayStation consoles. Now we’re moving on to what worries me from Xbox.

Halo Infinite

Halo infinite was shown and it looks really good. The multiplayer is free to play, remember to make sure you have Xbox Live. The single player campaign is also be available same day. Below is the multiplayer trailer

What has me a little worried is the Holiday 2021 date. Not having an exact date makes me feel as though there is still some work that needs too be done. I only hope that if it needs to be delayed again that they do. With all that said nothing from Xbox was disappointing. Let’s move on to Square Enix.

Square Enix’s E3 show

The Square Enix presentation was alright. Some announcements I felt good about until learning a little more after the show. I’ll get into what caught my attention first.

Guardians of the Galaxy

This game being shown came as a total surprise to me. The combat looks pretty good and the humor was great, though a little forced sometimes. Being able to make choices was a surprise to me. One thing i didn’t like too much was Rocket’s voice. I am glad that it is a single player experience and not a live service game like Marvel’s Avengers. The trailer is below.

I am definitely going to get the game at some point, but not at release. I’m still a little wary of some Square Enix properties after Marvel’s Avengers. Time to move onto what concerned me.

Babylon’s Fall Should We Be Concerned?

Babylon’s Fall is another game from Square Enix that will be a live service game. What has me concerned is that Square Enix has published two previous live action games, Marvel’s Avengers and Outriders, and there have been plenty of issues with both of them. My only hope is that they have learned from the previous games and have taken steps to lessen the issues that players will have. Below is the trailer.

The last thing I’ll talk about is what disappointed me.

Stranger of Paradise Final Fantasy Origin Demo

The first major disappointment was the Final Fantasy Origin demo. It’s a disappointment due to not being able to play it. When you download it, you are told that all the files are corrupted and to delete and re-download. Doing that will not fix the issue. I hope they listen to people and get this fixed. The trailer is below.

Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster

Through the teaser it appears to be Final Fantasy I-VI getting visual upgrades. The main reason that I’m disappointed is that it is not a collection and they are all being sold separately. I would rather buy them all bundled for one price than having to buy each one individually. I hope that they are bundled at some point in the future and that they become available to console owners. Here is the teaser.

Conclusion

Thank you all for reading and for your continued support. Keep in mind that these are only opinions. If you liked something I disliked that is fine. I only ask that you respect my opinion as I will respect yours, this applies to comments as well. The question of today is what has you most excited from what has been shown from E3 so far? As usual if want to follow me on Twitter or support the blog you may do so here: https://linktr.ee/realgamerwithglasses. Have a good day everyone!

This is probably an exaggeration, but I am legit so mad that the first 6 Final Fantasy games are not getting a 2D-HD version like the Dragon Quest 3 remake is getting. I’m expecting this to just be ports of the GBA games with minimal differences, except to Final Fantasy 3 since it never had a 16-bit version.

I wouldn’t be surprised if they did that. Hopefully they listen to the feedback from people. It seems that a majority of people are quite unhappy right now.
