Year in Review 4

End of Year Review 2022

Introduction

We’ve made it through another year! Time seemed to pass rather quickly. It felt like I blinked and the year was gone. So far 2023 is looking just as good as this year gaming wise.

My Game of the Year

Of what I’ve played and finished, my game of the year is God of War Ragnarök. I think that this was a solid sequel that fleshed out combat. I enjoyed using the different weapons and abilities. The music, story, and voice actors were all great! I’ll be reviewing this game in the future.

Future Blog Plans

The main thing I would like to do this year is to get back to doing first impressions. The first post I plan on putting out on this subject is Maglam Lord. I’ve been enjoying it. The combat reminds me of Summon Night Swordcraft Story and Summon Night Swordcraft Story 2. I also want to get back into more of the opinion pieces that I’ve done before like the post I did on my favorite Persona OSTs.

I’m hoping to start bringing more Steam games into my reviews. I have a good amount on there that I haven’t gotten to yet. That’s the downside of so many good games being available, it’s hard to play them all.

Games Acquired in 2022 I Plan on Beating in 2023

  • Maglam Lord
  • Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII Rebirth
  • Sonic Colors
  • Star Ocean: The Divine Force
  • Scarlet Nexus
  • Stranger of Paradise Final Fantasy Origins

2023 Personal Plans

One of the things at the top of my list is to engage more with the community. I feel like I definitely engaged more last year. I’m going to do my best to work on this, engaging with the community is always fun. I also want to play more games this year. Between finishing college and working, I honestly didn’t finish a lot of what I bought last year. Another big goal I have is getting back to consistent exercise.

Games I Hope to Get in 2023

  • Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League (maybe)
  • Mega Man Battle Network Collection
  • Fire Emblem Engage
  • Street Fighter VI
  • Marvel’s Spider-Man 2

Conclusion

My biggest accomplishment of 2022 was getting my Bachelor’s Degree. I honestly didn’t think I’d do it; things were pretty tough at times. I continue to appreciate everyone in the community for their continued support. This blog started two years ago as part of a college course and has become something I’m proud of. That wraps up this end of year review. What goals do you all have for this year? As always thank you all for reading!

I’m glad that you were able to graduate! It looks like you have a very good list of games to finish as well. I’m definitely even more busy than I was last year, so unfortunately I won’t be able to do much that doesn’t concern work.

As always, with my gaming I just wander around the backlog burning stuff. XD I hope this year is good for you!
