EXP Share #4: My High School Friends

This month for DanamesX’s EXP Share collaboration the topic is Share A Story That Involves Someone Special To You. For this topic I won’t be talking about an individual, but rather a group of people. I’ll be talking about my friends from high school and one of the best memories I have.

I’m not exactly sure how the idea came up but we went over to my friends house to play Smash Bros on the Wii U. We were only going to be there for a couple hours but then he said we could stay the night so we did. It was honestly one of the funnest day’s I’ve ever had. We switched between several things like various card games, Smash Bros. and watching movies that were so bad they were funny. I don’t remember if I went to sleep or not, if I did it was probably like real early in the morning.

It’s a good memory because it started a tradition that we had. I think we at least gathered twice a month and we’d do the usual. One day we decided to start playing Dungeons and Dragons so that became part of it as well. They were the reason I got into D&D and have many fun stories about the campaigns that we’ve played. There was even a time where we competed in several different games and kept points to see who would get the prize that my friend made, unfortunately I can’t remember exactly what it was.

These were some of my best memories of high school and makes me sometimes wish I could go back. Each time we got together was always fun with new jokes and random shows we’d watch. I think one time we were watching a bunch of Bey Blade episodes. We even got Bey Blades and started using them, not quite as fun as the show makes it look. I also remember how sometimes we would try to fight one of my friend’s Amiibo fighters. He had a Ganondorf that was an absolute nightmare to fight.
