The state of play from the 12th had some pretty good games that ended up getting shown. I went into it without any expectations. The only thing I thought would show up was some more game play on the Persona 4 remake. Here’s what I’m looking forward to from what was shown.
Metal Gear Solid Master Collection Vol.2
Konami was cooking with all the announcements they had. The main one for me was the Metal Gear Solid Collection 2. It has my favorite game, Metal Gear Solid Peace Walker. I have a copy of Metal Gear Solid 4 for my PS3, but I hadn’t gotten around to playing it yet. It’s great to have these games on modern consoles. For MGS4, it hasn’t left the PS3 since its release. MGS Peace Walker was on the PSP, but it was also on the PS3 as part of the MGS HD collection. That collection also featured MGS 2 and MGS 3. Needless to say, I will definitely be picking this up in August.
God of War Trilogy Remake
Another huge announcement was the Remake of God of War 1-3. I am one of the people that never played the original games. When I had a PS2 I was still pretty young, so my parents definitely would not have let me get them. I did play Chains of Olympus on the PSP though. I’m looking forward to experiencing the games for the first time.
Pragmata
This game is intriguing to me. I’m a bit on the fence about getting it so I’ll definitely play the demo before making a final decision. It definitely looks beautiful from what they’ve shown.
Rev. Noir
There wasn’t much to goo off for this one, but I’d like to see more information. I’m putting it on my radar since it’s a RPG. If you read any of my content then you’d know that most of what I play are RPGs.
I was pleased with everything that was shown. What games grabbed your attention from the State of Play? Are there any that you know you’re buying or want more information about? As always, thanks for reading!
