Hello everyone! Today I’d like to share some video game music that I enjoy. The music selected come from different games. I’ll return to sharing my video game collection soon, I just have to compile my list. Just a small disclaimer if you consider music spoilers you might want to skip this article. The music will be from Mega Man X Command Mission, Spyro Ripto’s Rage, the World Ends With You Final Remix, Kingdom Hearts Birth By Sleep, Shin Megami Tensei IV Apocalypse, Metal Gear Solid Peace Walker, Sonic Heroes, Naruto Shippuden Ultimate Ninja Storm 4, Pokémon White 2, and Custom Robo.
Mega Man X: Command Mission
I know a lot of people haven’t played this game, but I’d say it’s worth giving a try. It basically takes Mega Man and turns it into a turn based RPG. It’s a game I remember quite fondly. Below is a track I selected from the game.
Spyro Ripto’s Rage
As some of you may know I’m a big Spyro fan. The first Spyro game was one of the first video games that I played, so it’s only fitting that a song from Spyro 2 pops up. I missed playing on the PlayStation, but was able to pick it up digitally on the PSP. A fun game with great music.
The World Ends With You Final Remix
This is a game that blew me away. I missed the original on the Nintendo DS so I had to pick up the remix version on the Nintendo Switch. One of the strongest parts of this game is the music. It was quite difficult picking out a song to share from the soundtrack. I highly recommend playing this game, even more so now that a sequel comes out this month.
Kingdom Hearts Birth By Sleep
I was on a nostalgia trip recently and downloaded Birth By Sleep. It’s in the Kingdom Hearts 1.5 + 2.5 Remix. This is a game that I hated as a kid, but after I replayed it I completely changed my mind. The skill system can be frustrating but a lot of fun once you get into it. Being able to get a different perspective from the overall story through the three different charterers was great. Below is one of my favorite songs.
Shin Megami Tensei IV Apocolypse
You all already know how much I enjoy the Shin Megami Tensei series. This is one song that is constantly stuck in my head. If you haven’t played this game I definitely recommend it, especially if you’re looking for a challenging RPG in an apocalyptic setting. If you like the Shin Megami Tensei series, don’t forget Shin Megami Tensei V releases this year in November. You can pre-order the game now. The Fall of Man Special Edition is sold out as of now, I think.
Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker
This one might come as a surprise as I most likely known for playing RPGs, but sometimes I branch out. I started playing the Metal Gear Solid series on the PlayStation 2 with MGS 2. After that I played MGS Peace Walker on the PSP. MGS Peace Walker is probably still my favorite game in the series. The base building mechanic was so much fun and just when you thought the game was done, there was more.
Sonic Heroes
Sonic Heroes has to be one of my favorite Sonic games. If you’re looking for a good 3D Sonic game, then this is it. I liked that each team had their own story and motivations in the game. I will warn you though, if you want the true ending you’ll have to get all the Chaos Emeralds.
Naruto Shippuden Ultimate Ninja Storm 4
That’s right, it’s another game that isn’t an RPG. I bought this game a couple years back when the Naruto Shippuden anime was just winding down. This game was absolutely amazing. I loved the cinematics and it follows the story exactly as the events happen in the anime. I was hooked from the first fight in the game which is the battle between Madara and Hashirama.
Pokémon White 2/ Pokémon Black 2
This should come as no surprise as I am an avid Pokémon fan. I’ve played every main series game except for Let’s Go Eevee/Let’s Go Pikachu. This one is one of my favorite games as it has some of the best music and continues the great story from Pokémon Black/White.
Custom Robo
Custom Robo is a game I hold in high regards. I think this series needs to be brought back. An interesting story combined with robot battles, what’s not to love? The customization in this game is pretty great with different weapons and rockets you can equip on your robot. You can also use different robot models with their own advantageous and disadvantageous.
Conclusion
Obviously this isn’t a list of my top songs, just some great video game music I wanted to share from some good games. I’ll be sharing more music this week as I continue to work on my video game collection lists. The next few video game collection posts will be split up due to the amount of games. I like writing a little about the games that I have. I also have an idea for a new post which I will share details on in the future.
