Welcome to my first in a series of mini posts. These posts will pop up from time to time along with the bigger posts that I do. These won’t have a set schedule, rather they will be posted depending on how much I have going on each week. The subject of this mini post is my current thoughts on the Nintendo Switch going into year 4.

The Nintendo Switch released in 2017 and is now going into it’s fourth year. As of now I believe that the Switch is a successful console with great exclusives and third party games. The portability and the ability to play on your TV still holds up really well. It’s usually my go to console when I need a quick break. There are some negatives that have persisted throughout its existence. One such problem is the infamous joy-con drift. I’ve already replaced my right one and my left one is on its way out. Nintendo refuses to acknowledge that it’s a problem which is quite disappointing. Another problem that plagues the Switch is the lack of quality control on the Nintendo E shop. This leads to having the store flooded with games that shouldn’t be there due to technical issues. Though I dislike Nintendo charging for online connectivity, I mostly play single player games so I’m not impacted by this.

In conclusion I would still recommend the Nintendo Switch. It has a great selection of games that you can only find on the system such as Fire Emblem Three Houses, Astral Chain, and Octopath Traveler. I would recommend getting a controller like a pro controller or a wired controller just in case your joy-cons start messing up. Two games I’m looking forward to that I’ll be playing on the Switch are Persona 5 Strikers and Shin Megami Tensei V. As always thank you visiting my blog as well as taking the time to read my content. If you like these types of posts and want to see more be sure to let me know.

I almost forgot about SMT V coming out soon. There are too many games coming out right now.

I agree. I can’t blame you for forgetting since it was announced way back when the Switch first released.
