As you may or may not know this month is Pokémon’s 25th Anniversary. McKenna Talks About Games created a great lists of questions that anyone can answer to participate. You can visit her post to get the list of questions as well as to see more of what she has planned for Pokémon’s 25th.
What is Your Favorite Pokémon?

My favorite Pokémon is Sceptile. I love its design as well as the move that it learns. Seeing Sceptile using Leaf Blade in Generation 3 was so cool. I also love the mega form that they gave it.
What’s your favorite Pokémon game?
I think my favorite Pokémon game is Pokémon Emerald. This game had so much content in it. It had contests, two villainous teams, and the battle frontier. I’ve always felt as though the third game in the generations that they make get the most attention, sometimes I wish they’d wait until everything is done and release a complete and finished game with all their ideas.
What’s your favorite Pokémon generation?
My favorite Generation would have to be 5. It narrowly beats out 3 because when I first started playing Gen 5 I was honestly at a loss for words. The music of this generation was also in a league of its own. The end game content was probably the best that the series has had. The Pokémon World Tournament was a lot of fun.
What’s your favorite Pokémon type?
I’d have to say Dragon type. Dragapult from Gen 8 really solidified this because of its move set. Using Dragon Dance and Dragon darts makes for an amazingly overpowered combination. I also enjoy the designs that these types have.
Are you looking forward to potential Diamond/Pearl Remakes?
I’m definitely looking forward to a potential Diamond/Pearl remake. Gen 4 was absolutely fun and would look great with the updated graphics. The only way that I wouldn’t look forward to these remakes would be if they made them more like the Let’s go Eevee or Let’s Go Pikachu remakes they did of Gen 1.
What’s your favorite villainous team?
My favorite villainous team is Team Galactic. I like that each commander has a unique design and personality. I could listen to the battle music endlessly. When you go into their headquarters it felt so tense and then when you see Cyrus speaking to the grunts, it was pretty cool.
What’s something you’d like to return to Pokémon?
One thing I’d like to return is the Pokémon World Tournament from Gen 5. There’s nothing more fun then being able to battle gym leaders and champions from the previous games. I think having something like this be brought back would make the end game content more enjoyable and something to look forward to. I’d hate it if it was paid DLC though.
What’s your dream Pokémon crossover game?
I’d like a cross over with Digimon. I’d combine the story elements from Digimon games, the villainous teams from Pokémon, and some of the digivolving mechanics. In Digimon you can digivolve them and they become stronger or you can de-digivolve them. I think if these games would cross over it would be a truly incredible experience.
What should the next Pokémon region be based on?
I think I’d like the next region to be based on Australia. The biggest thing I like about Pokémon is that these developers do their research when they make these regions so that you really get a feel for the place that they’re basing it off of.
