What Release Are You Most Looking Forward to This Year?

Video game wise I’m looking forward to Shin Megami Tensei V. I got into this series after randomly purchasing one of the games for my DS back in high school. I haven’t regretted it since then. I bought a Nintendo Switch when it was announced and have patiently awaited the release date which is this year.

For television I’m looking forward to The Falcon and the Winter Soldier. It’s an upcoming Disney + show that I think is going to be really good. The actors have such a great chemistry and it’s good to see Disney finally giving their TV shows a good budget.

Last but not least music wise I’m looking forward to the release of the Persona 5 Royal Vinyl soundtrack. I’m excited not only because Persona 5 Royal had a great sound track, but also because this will be my first record. The covers have question marks because it’s a surprise as to what the covers look like.

What New Release This Year Are You Not That Hyped Up About?

I’m not hyped for the Shin Megami Tensei III Remaster. I played the original over the summer and enjoyed it a lot, but I’ve heard that all they’ve done for the remaster is make the graphics better. The version for the switch also seems to have some performance issues that I’m not sure have been solved yet.

A New Year Often Means New Characters, What Upcoming Character Are You Looking Forward to Meeting?

I hope this counts, but the Marvel zombie characters. This is part of the new Marvel What If series. For those of you that don’t know it’s a series that explores what if certain events in the Marvel Cinematic Universe happened differently. I know some, but not a lot about it.

Tell us About Something That has Been on Your Backlog/To-Do List for a While That You’re Going to Try to Get to This Year.

Something that is on my to-do list is getting more retro systems from my childhood. I’ve been trying to collect older systems from my childhood like the Nintendo GameCube. I haven’t gotten around to it sense a lot of them are over priced, I also try to avoid buying from Game Stop for obvious reasons.

Thinking of a Fandom You Follow Regularly, What Event or Moment (Big or Small) Do You Hope Happens This Year?

I hope that the Persona 25th anniversary project that Atlus has been working on releases in the US this year. I say that because whenever Atlus releases a game it releases in Japan first. I’m interested in seeing what exactly they release.

In the Spirit of Resolutions, Do You Have Any Geeky Ones?

For me I think it’s to try more game series. I recently started getting into the Guilty Gears series and I’ve been enjoying it. I’m also looking at getting Astral Chain on the Nintendo Switch at some point.
