End of Month Review January 2023

Introduction

It’s a bit late, but I’m back with an end of month review. January has been a bit of a tough month. Hoping to turn things around this month.

Personal Life

Things have been a little bit hectic in my personal life. I ended up putting in my two weeks at work and have been looking for a new job for a bit. Originally I was going to wait until I had something else lined up, but things had gotten unbearable. I went ahead with putting in my two weeks for the sake of my mental health. I’m hoping to hear some good news soon. I just did a skill test for a job last week, so I have my fingers crossed that I can get an interview.

What I’ve Been Playing

I’ve been playing a couple different games this month. I’ve been bouncing between Scarlet Nexus, Star Ocean: The Divine Forces, and Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII Reunion. I recently finished my first play through of Scarlet Nexus. I’m moving back to Star Ocean now to make some progress on it. After that I’ll be working on getting through Crisis Core. I’m definitely trying to clear out my backlog since it has become a more than I had anticipated. I still haven’t started Stranger of Paradise or finished Maglam Lord yet.

In the Community

I’m doing something a little different for this months in the community section. I’ll only be highlighting one post, but it’s something that you all can be involved in.

Kim from Later Levels is doing an event called #LoveYourBacklog Month. If you’re a fellow blogger it’s easy to participate. There are several questions that revolve around the games you have in your backlog. All you need to do is answer the questions and list your backlog. Be sure to visit her blog post for all the details. It’s a great way to connect with other bloggers and see what games they’ve got in their backlog. Who knows, you might end up having similar games as someone else. I participated last time and will be participating this time as well.

I should have my post for this up by the end of next week. If you’d like to see others that have participated, Kim has listed them on her blog post. Have fun!

Games I Plan on Playing Next

I’m mostly focused on my backlog currently. As I mentioned, I’m currently looking for a new job. Because of that I’m putting off buying any new games. I think I only have one game per-ordered that I ordered last year. I’m currently working through Star Ocean: The Divine Forces.

Conclusion

That’s about all I have going on right now. I’m hoping February gets better than it currently is. I’ll probably look for some part time work until I can find a full time position. As always thanks for reading!
