Introduction
Maglam Lord is one of those games that I saw and decided to try it out. So far I think I’ve made it to chapter 5. I’ve been enjoying my time with the game so far. I checked last night and I’m about 5 hours in.
Story
So far I’m enjoying the story. At times it’s comedic and at other times it gets a little serious. I’m only at chapter 5 so I don’t think I’m too far in. It’s easy to follow as well. You play as a demon lord that ends up listed as an endangered species through certain events.
Gameplay
You have two types of missions, main and side. Some side missions are repeatable, while others are not. Main missions progress the story and can be completed whenever you want. Whenever you start a mission you will start in a random spot in the map. Enemies are encountered in the over world. When a battle starts, the view is changed to 2D or I guess it’s more like 2.5D. It reminds me of Swordcraft story.
There are three types of weapons that you can use. You can use a sword, a spear, and an axe. Each enemy in the game is weak to one of these weapon types. There are also several different companions, each with their own abilities. You can buy more abilities for characters as they level up.
Conclusion
As of now I thing Maglam Lord is a good game. It’s an Action RPG, so if you don’t like those types of games I would not recommend it. The only dislike I have right now is that you can always see the weakness of an enemy, even if it’s your first time encountering them. If you have any other questions on the game feel free to ask.
