My Top 20 Persona OSTs

Introduction

It has been a little bit since I last posted, but I’ve been working on this list for a bit. This list is my top 20 Persona songs. I was literally making changes the day before this post went up. Only songs from the numbered games in the series are on this list. Spoiler warning is in affect as some of the songs on this list are late game songs from Persona 1 – Persona 5, that includes P3P, P4 Golden, and P5 Royal. Party members are also shown in some videos. I wrote about some songs more than others because I’m not the best at describing music. Some are easier to describe than others.

Starting off the list is the song that plays when you’re traveling around in Persona 3. It’s a really good theme in an unexpected place.

Persona 2 Innocent Sin’s battle theme comes in at number 19. I’ve got at ranked lower since I feel as though it isn’t as good as the other battle themes in the game.

This is the battle theme in Persona 2 Innocent Sin. It’s a pretty good battle theme. I sometimes enjoy tracks without vocals.

Heartbreak, Heartbreak mostly plays on cloudy days in both versions of Persona 4. It’s an overall nice song to listen to while you’re going around town.

Bloody Destiny is the boss theme of Persona. This song is in the PSP version of the game. I wish it had a little more. The beat is really nice.

A Lone Prayer is the battle theme in the first Persona game. It’s a pretty good song, but you become over exposed to it because of the encounter rate.

This is just a pretty good boss theme. It’s got a nice repetitive beat that makes you feel a sense of urgency.

This is just a really solid opening theme. I almost always never skipped it.

I really enjoyed the opening of Persona 2 Innocent Sin. It has really strong instrumentals, especially the guitar. This specifically plays as the opening of the PSP version of Persona 2 Innocent Sin.

Mass Destruction is the main battle theme in Persona 3. When I first heard this it was completely unexpected. It was so different from how the battle themes in the previous games sounded. It’s a really great battle theme.

I’ve sat idle several times to continue listening to Backside of The TV. It’s a great song in a pretty unexpected place.

This battle theme plays when you surprise attack an enemy. The name and everything fits perfectly considering the circumstance in which it plays.

Your Affection plays only on sunny clear days in while going around town in Persona 4. It’s pretty hard to not sing along. Sometimes I just there and let it play.

I could honestly never get tired of hearing Last Surprise. It’s a really solid and enjoyable battle theme.

It was tough to decide between Wake Up, Get Up, Get Out There and Colors Flying High. Both of them are great songs and openings, but I think I liked Colors Flying High just a little bit more. I only put one on here since both of them are openings.

There are several different arrangements of Burn My Dread, but this one is my favorite. It’s mostly because of the moment that it plays. I debated including it on my list, but decided to because I wanted to make a honest list.

Life Will Change is such a great song. It sucks you into Persona 5 since it plays as soon as the game starts.

Wiping All Out is a great battle theme that is only in Persona 3 Portable is plays when your character is Female. It’s pretty catchy.

Rivers in the Desert was very close to being number 1. It would have been if it wasn’t for the next song. My favorite part is when the song slows down and goes back into the regular beat.

For me this song is like the pinnacle of Persona Songs. This is one song that I could never get out of my head. All the build up to this point in the game makes it that much better.

Conclusion

This was a pretty tough list to make. There are a lot of great Persona songs, so making a top 20 list was pretty hard. There are obviously some songs that I might have forgotten about. What are some of your favorite Persona OSTs?
